Stakeholders’ Consultative forum with Shipping Lines serving the Eastern and Southern Africa taking place at PrideInn Azure, Conferencing and Spa, Nairobi-Kenya.
The meeting is discussing emerging issues affecting Shippers such as the COVID 19 pandemic and it’s effects, disruptions in the logistics chain as a result of political instability in Ukraine, increasing freight rates, collaborative approach to Trade facilitation, sustainability of evolving shipping market structure and business models among others.
The meeting was officiated by Amb. Dr. Nancy W. Karigithu, CBS, Principal secretary State Department of Shipping and Maritime and Special Envoy for Maritime and Blue Economy; with regional representations from Maritime Administrations, Port Authorities, Shipping Lines, Shippers’ Councils, Freight Forwarders, Revenue Authorities and other Stakeholders of Maritime Aided International Trade.
